One of the most stunning long-distance walking and cycling routes to be found in Scotland is the Hebridean Way.
The route runs from the very far north of the Isle of Lewis down to the southern end of the Isle of Barra. Best tackled on a bike but possible on foot, the route is almost 200 miles across 10 islands linked by a mixture of ferries and causeways. The adventurous among you will be rewarded richly if you try it! Just make sure that you allow plenty of time to stop and take photos.
