Self-Drive Itineraries

Here at The Tartan Road, we specialise in Scottish self-drive holidays. All of our self-drive tours are completely bespoke: we customise them to give you the perfect holiday.

We think a self-drive holiday is one of the best ways of exploring Scotland. From the dramatic mountain scenery of the Highlands and the raw beauty of the Islands to the gentle hills of the Borders and the culture of the cities, this small country is easy to explore with a car.

Driving yourself gives you the freedom to explore off the beaten track and at your own pace. The roads in Scotland are sometimes quite narrow and winding, but don't let that put you off. Driving in Scotland is easy - there's not a lot of traffic and most of the time you'll be going slowly to enjoy the scenery!
