Food
The Isle of Skye has some of the best foodie destinations in the whole of Scotland. From Michelin Star restaurants to street food shacks, here's our guide to the best places to eat on this beautiful island in 2023.
One of the most popular places to visit in Scotland, on the Isle of Skye it's all about the scenery! The views will take your breath away again and again
Skye is a hiker's paradise, full of challenging but rewarding drives, excellent places to eat, some of the best producers of whisky and gin in the whole of Scotland, and a rich natural and cultural history.
Skye is justifiably well-loved by locals and tourists alike, and attracts a huge range of visitors each year from around the globe. Buoyed by its frequent use as a filming location and the relative ease with which it can be reached from the mainland these days, Skye can turn into a bit of a metropolis in the middle of summer - despite its remote location.
We always advise our clients to consider travelling to Skye outside the main summer season (June, July and August), as they will likely find it more pleasant and less busy, and they can visit safe in the knowledge that they are doing their bit for responsible tourism by helping to spread demand.
